More about Dr. Hardee

Dr. Angelica M. Hardee is the Vice President of Community Impact at the American Heart Association, leading health initiatives in Greater Cincinnati/NKY. She focuses on hypertension, e-cigarette/tobacco use, and healthy food access to create an equitable and healthy community.

Dr. Hardee drives policy changes to reduce uncontrolled hypertension, educates youth on e-cigarette risks, and enhances healthy food access. She collaborates with researchers, physicians, and advocates, engaging with community organizations to prioritize health and wellness.

Additionally, she's an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati and Tulane University, specializing in public health program planning and evaluation.

Dr. Hardee is a Governing Councilor for the American Public Health Association, advocates for education at the University of Cincinnati, and previously served as President of the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Southwestern Ohio.

She serves on various boards, mentors students, and has received multiple awards, including Cincinnati’s YWCA Rising Star Leader and Lead Tribune Media Group’s Healthcare Leadership Award.

Previously, Dr. Hardee was Senior Manager of Gen-H, overseeing population health in Greater Cincinnati/NKY. She began her career at UC, earning her doctorate and contributing to publications on maternal and child health.

A Cleveland native, Dr. Hardee is a three-time alumna of the University of Cincinnati with degrees in public health, health policy, and global health systems.
